Pig Iron Fest and Car Show returns on September 24th

Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 24th and check out the traditional Pig Iron Fest and Car Show sponsored by Donegal Rotary. We invite classic, antique, street rod, rat rod modern cars, and motorcycles. As in years past ,the Musselman-Vesta Iron Furnace center will be open for visitation and tours.

What will be different this year is the location of the car show and vendors. Since the renovation of the county park, it is no longer feasible to have the event at that location. Last year we used the East Donegal Township Chickies Day Use Area and immediately outgrew that location. Thankfully Marietta Community Bible Church offered the use of their facility. We are still going to have historical exhibits plus: food court featuring Kurtz Concessions, hay wagon rides, Blankets of Honor, Steve Bailey historical photograph display, Rivertownes USA display, Love of Dog, Kids Zone, Navy Club Ship 166, and many other things to do. Tim Rinard will perform during the event. Car registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Trophies sponsored by local businesses will be awarded at approximately 2:30. Pre-registration is $15 on our website DonegalRotary.com. Otherwise, it will be $20 the day of the show.

Dash plaques will be given to the first 200 show cars. All proceeds go toward The Musselman-Vesta Iron Furnace Center and other local charities. We ask that all who attend bring a food bank and clothing bank item. Follow our Pig Iron Fest event page for more information. All traffic will enter from Anderson Ferry Road and exit to Ore Mine Road.
