“Hometown Heroes” Banners Honor Marietta Veterans- More to Come

Submitted by Dawn Gohn
As you ride down the streets of Marietta, I am sure you have noticed the beautiful banners hanging from telephone poles honoring our “Hometown Heroes”.
The response to the banners has been great, so far. We have 64 banners hanging, 44 yet to be hung, and another 14 on order from the printer and expected to arrive soon.
Thanks to our generous volunteers, this project has been an overwhelming success so far, but we could use some additional volunteer help:
If you are interested in helping to hang the remaining banners, please reach out to Charles Shireman, Commander- American Legion Post 466 or to Dawn Gohn.
We appreciate everyone’s support and patience while we work on honoring our Hometown Heroes, and a big “thank you” to all of those involved in this project!
