Sunday, September 30th is the date of the 14th annual Pig Iron Fest and Car Show. Car registration starts at 9:00 a.m. This year Rat Rods will be the featured cars, with best being awarded the “Marietta River Rat” trophy. The location is Furnace Road and 441 South. Other features for the Fest are a Kids Zone, food court, historical tours of the furnace ruins, and Steve Bailey will have a display of his favorite historical pictures of Marietta. Also, there are a variety of local bands sharing their music talent. The proceeds benefit the preservation of the Vesta Building and grounds plus other Donegal Rotary charities.
