The Marietta Mac-Down, otherwise known as a mac and cheese competition, will be staged at the Railroad House Inn/Perry St. Cellar on Saturday September 29th, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Similar to its counterpart, Chowderfest, the Marietta Mac-Down will feature over a dozen restaurants competing for the “People’s Choice Best Mac and Cheese”. There will be live music, a caricature artist, face painting, and River Barry and Bubble Magic for the kids. Food and drink specials, raffles, and a silent auction will be available for the event, as well.
Tickets are a donation of $12 and can be bought at the Railroad House Restaurant or at Eventbrite.com
Your ticket will get you a ballot card upon admittance to sample and rate your favorite mac and cheese. Proceeds benefit the Pioneer Fire Company, the Sebastian Foundation Dog Rescue, The Marietta Market, and Foodstock.
