A signature summer drink, the mojito is light and refreshing! This version uses locally-sourced “Garden Mint,”
probably available in your backyard.
2 oz. light or white rum
(no need for the pricey stuff, a basic rum like Cruzan will work just fine)
Juice of 1 lime
Lime zest (optional)
1/2 cup Garden Mint leaves
About a cup of club soda
Simple syrup, agave nectar, or honey to taste
Ice
Blend all ingredients on high. Pour into a frosty glass and
garnish with lime slice and mint leaves. This is a recipe
for one drink, always adjust ingredients for individual
preferences. Remember: club soda is a carbonate so when
making multiple drinks, allow room for expansion. This
drink can be prepped two hours ahead of time and stored
in an airtight container.
Stir well before serving.
Enjoy!
